Starting on Thursday 4 July, this year the city of Mantua will be the fantastic stage of a first-rate arts programme. On the bill is the Mantova Summer Festival, which in July and from 28 August to 3 September will feature, among others, Umberto Tozzi, Mahmood and Antonello Venditti, together with international guests such as Diana Krall and Massive Attack.
The Lombard city is only 2 hours from Milan and can be reached both by car and by train. Mantua is home to unrivalled artistic treasures such as Palazzo Te with its Hall of the Giants and Palazzo del Podestà. On the occasion of Mantua being named Italian Capital of Culture in 2016,

The Mantova Summer Festival, organised by Mister Wolf Events in collaboration with the municipality of Mantua, features numerous events. The programme unfolds between Piazza Sordello, in the heart of the city, and the Esedra of Palazzo Te, in the enchantment of the garden of one of the most fascinating and history-rich palaces of Italian heritage.
In July, Piazza Sordello, with its monuments including the Duomo and Palazzo Ducale, will light up the big stage from Thursday the 4th, when it hosts SIMPLE MINDS. The date is already sold out.
It continues on 5 July with UMBERTO TOZZI, for a stop on the “L’ULTIMA NOTTE ROSA - THE FINAL TOUR”. We have already followed the Italian singer on his Zurich and Geneva dates (see photo gallery).
Another Italian great is on the programme on 11 July. MAHMOOD arrives in Piazza Sordello with SUMMER TOUR 2024. A songwriter and singer highly regarded on the Italian and international scene, MAHMOOD today counts 31 platinum records and 8 gold records in Italy, 6 platinum records and 3 gold records abroad, and has more than 3.1 billion total streams to his name. On 7 July the only Italian date of GRETA VAN FLEET is scheduled. The American hard-rock band led by Grammy winner Joshua Kiszka returns to Italy celebrating its latest record “Starcatcher”, released on 21 July.
On 12 July another illustrious name takes the stage, that of DIANA KRALL. A chance for the audience to hear all her hits along with the tracks of her latest album “This Dream of You”, released in 2020.
13 July will see the return of MASSIVE ATTACK to the Mantova Summer Festival for their only Italian date. The group formed by Robert “3D” Del Naja and Grant “Daddy G” Marshall is ready to bring back the magic of trip hop with an unforgettable show. Massive Attack are considered the inventors of trip hop, taking rhythms from hip hop, using electronic sampling and combining many other musical genres including dub, reggae and ambient music.
From the end of August, the Esedra of Palazzo Te once again welcomes audience and artists into its embrace, to experience the emotions of the Mantova Summer Festival in its most intimate and enveloping dimension.
On 28 August comes PANARIELLO VS MASINI - Il Ritorno. Giorgio Panariello and Marco Masini are ready to return to the stage together, for a new challenge of jokes and songs that will travel across Italy. The show comes on the back of the success of the first tour, which saw Panariello and Masini travel the whole Peninsula during 2023.
On 29 August CCCP - FEDELI ALLA LINEA will perform. They will take the Summer Festival stage after reuniting and after the resulting exhibition “Felicitazioni! CCCP – Fedeli alla Linea 1984-2024” at the Chiostri di San Pietro in Reggio Emilia and the three sold-out dates at the Astra Kulturhaus in Berlin with the concert “CCCP in DDDR”.
On 30 August another prestigious guest: ROBERTO VECCHIONI, who will bring to Mantua his Tra il Silenzio e il Tuono Tour, named after his latest literary work at the top of the Italian fiction chart. The first part of the show is dedicated to the tracks of his latest album “L’Infinito”, before making room for some classics from the singer-songwriter’s repertoire, in a narrative that holds together music, word and image.
On 31 August, LOREDANA BERTE’ will be the guest on the stage of the Esedra of Palazzo Te. 2024 is an important year in Loredana Bertè’s career: the artist has been sailing the waves and the winds of the arts scene for five decades. To tell all her thousand lives, RIBELLE has been released, a splendid collection on 3 CDs, 2 LPs and in DIGITAL with 57 tracks (3 CDs), among them Pazza, presented at the 74th edition of the Sanremo Festival and an instant hit.
There will also be PAOLO CREPET, at the Mantova Summer Festival. On 2 September the Italian psychiatrist, sociologist, educator, essayist and commentator will take the stage with his new lecture show ‘Mordere il Cielo’
On 3 September, the eagerly awaited concert of ANTONELLO VENDITTI, a stop on the tour “Notte prima degli esami 1984-2024 40th anniversary”. Venditti and his superband will bring to the stage the tracks of the album “Cuore” together with many other great successes from his long and extraordinary musical history, in a series of concert events.
