Accetto Miracoli is Tiziano Ferro's seventh album, released last 22 November and already certified Gold just one week after its release. The artist describes the new record as his new beginning: an invitation to entrust ourselves to our destiny, without forcing its course. From the very first moment Tiziano describes this album as “fresh, honest, energetic, born of the need to give myself over to new experiences.” The record comes out on the Virgin Records label (Universal Music Italia), in collaboration with the American producer Timbaland on 9 of the 12 tracks, and arrives three years after its predecessor “Il Mestiere della Vita.”
“I needed to get out of a certain ‘comfort zone’ and also rediscover a renewed creativity,” the artist confides in an interview. “Meeting a music guru like Timbaland, who has always been my idol and who became the producer of the album, forced me to put myself on the line again, like a pupil. This record is the result of a ‘micro-crisis’ that turned into a creative crisis.” Strong, thought-provoking words from the artist about the intensity and the passion he poured into telling his own story; they carry within them the seed of an important change, an artistic and personal evolution that is at times unexpected but necessary, and that suggests nothing will ever be the same again for the 39-year-old artist from Latina. Heralded by the first singles Buona (Cattiva) Sorte and Accetto Miracoli, the new record is also available in a Spanish version, “Acepto Milagros.” The album is released on CD, vinyl (including a special red-vinyl pressing) and in digital format (find all the digital formats here). The CD and vinyl contain 12 tracks: “Vai ad Amarti,” “Amici per errore,” “Balla per Me” (a duet, the only one on the album, with Jovanotti), “In mezzo a questo inverno,” an intense piano-and-voice ballad that he calls “his favourite song.” He wrote it when his grandmother Margherita, the mainstay of his life, passed away. “I lived with her from the age of 19 onwards, after I left home following an argument with my parents. There is no clear autobiographical expression in the lyrics, because I did not want to do what someone does when they write a song for their grandmother. Rather, I wanted to give a voice to very intimate emotions and let the song fly on its own.”
It is unquestionably an album that offers a very clear view of his personal and artistic growth, always constant over the years, but now more than ever the fruit of a maturity he has reached, reflected in his stylistic choices, in the composition and in the writing. “After all, everything has changed compared with 2016. I found myself living in a different place (California), which I did not love, but which I learned to discover. Nor did I expect to embark on a relationship that would lead to a marriage, but now my family is there, with all the needs and choices that this can entail,” he recounts during the presentation press conference. Tiziano Ferro's new single, titled “Accetto Miracoli,” is a wonderful piece of poetry that deserves to be listened to again and again: an objective reflection, open and sincere, because we should all learn to entrust ourselves to destiny without forcing its course, with no religious connotation whatsoever. According to Tiziano, “when we let ourselves go with destiny, things go well and miracles happen.”
A tour whose setlist, at Tiziano's wish, will be made up only of the songs that marked the success of his albums, right up to this latest one, “Accetto Miracoli.” We at Tuttoitalia.ch are proud to be media partner of the concerts in Zurich and Lausanne, and we are fully ready to keep you updated on all the news through our online portal.
