Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble are ready to return to the stage with a new and thrilling world tour that will also stop in Switzerland. After enchanting millions of spectators across five continents with their powerful, refined voices, the internationally renowned trio will star in a major concert on 11 December 2025 at the Hallenstadion in Zurich, an appointment that promises to be one of the most exciting musical events of the year.
Il Volo was born in 2009 from the artistic encounter of three young talents discovered on the Rai 1 talent show Ti lascio una canzone. Brought together by manager Michele Torpedine, the same man who contributed to the successes of Andrea Bocelli, Zucchero and Giorgia, Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca turned their passion for opera and pop singing into an international project capable of winning over audiences worldwide.
Their debut album, Il Volo (2010), was an immediate success: certified Platinum, it reached the Top Ten of Billboard USA and opened the doors to the main television shows in Europe and the United States. Since then, their career has been a crescendo of milestones: collaborations with legends such as Barbra Streisand and Placido Domingo, world tours with hundreds of sold-out dates, victories at the Festival di Sanremo and prestigious honours such as the Marcel Besançon Award at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015.
Over the years, Il Volo has blended the Italian opera tradition with the modern sounds of pop, creating a unique musical language appreciated all over the world. From tributes to the Three Tenors to the project dedicated to the music of Ennio Morricone, through reinterpretations of international classics and new songs exploring fresh sounds, the trio keeps evolving without ever losing its identity.
The recent success of the album Ad Astra (International Edition), enriched with new tracks such as Capolavoro in its English version, and the release of the new single Tra le onde testify to the group’s continuous artistic growth, always ready to surprise audiences with fresh, ambitious projects.
The new world tour, announced after the triumphant journey around the world in 2024, will take Il Volo to the most prestigious stages and will include a keenly awaited date in Zurich. The concert on 11 December 2025 at the Hallenstadion will be a musical journey ranging from the great Italian classics to the most famous opera arias, all the way to the pop hits that made the trio famous.
