Zucchero announces a second date in Zurich

The famous Italian artist, considered among the greatest performers of rock-blues, adds a new stop to his series of concerts in Switzerland. After the public's rapid response to his first date of 18 June 2026, today Zucchero confirms a second evening at Zurich's Hallenstadion on 17 June 2026. His international success is also linked to his many collaborations and appearances at highly prestigious events, which have led him to sell over 60 million records. His career is studded with records and memorable collaborations with artists such as Bryan Adams, Al Green, The Blues Brothers, Dolores O'Riordan, Sheryl Crow, Tom Jones, Sting, Jeff Beck, B.B. King, Mark Knopfler, Ennio Morricone, Andrea Bocelli and many others.

He was the first Western artist to perform at the Kremlin after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the only Italian present at the 1994 Woodstock Festival. He has taken part in all the initiatives dedicated to Nelson Mandela, in the 1992 Freddie Mercury Tribute and conceived with Luciano Pavarotti the charity series Pavarotti & Friends, broadcast globally until 2003.

In 1999 he took to the stage of the IMST Festival in Austria in front of 200,000 spectators, between Bryan Adams and the Rolling Stones, and was invited by Bono to play at the Net Aid charity concert in New York. He then took part in both editions of the Rainforest Fund, the project of Sting and Trudie Styler. The international dimension of his career is quite evident: Zucchero has performed in 69 countries and 650 cities across the 5 continents, often in unusual locations for Western music such as Oman, Mauritius, Thailand, New Caledonia and Armenia. Among his most emblematic performances stands the 2004 concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London, shared with Eric Clapton, Brian May, Solomon Burke and Dolores O'Riordan, later released on DVD.

In 2007 he received a Grammy Award nomination together with Billy Preston and Eric Clapton; in 2012 he performed at the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana in front of over 80,000 people, the biggest live event by a foreign artist in Cuba during the embargo. His most recent path confirms a constant artistic vitality. In 2018 he took part in the British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park alongside Clapton, Santana and Steve Winwood. In 2020 he appeared at the great global event One World: Together at Home and sent messages of hope from symbolic places such as the Colosseum and St Mark's Square, reinterpreting songs by Bono, Michael Stipe and Aaron Dessner. In the following years he released the acoustic project Inacustico D.O.C. & More, his first covers album Discover, and became the Italian voice of Clay Calloway in the film Sing 2.

Since 2022 he has returned to stages of enormous prestige: from the World Wild Tour to fourteen consecutive dates at the Verona Arena, up to the celebrations for his forty-year career at the RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia. In 2023 the documentary ZUCCHERO – Sugar Fornaciari was released, while the artist accompanied Andrea Bocelli on his North American and European tours, also appearing as a surprise guest at the Coldplay concerts in Milan. In 2024 he launched the Overdose D'Amore World Tour to celebrate the song's thirty-five years, with a new version by Salmo.
