Mario Biondi returns to the stage in 2026 with a special tour celebrating twenty years of This Is What You Are, the song that established him among the most loved soul and jazz voices in Europe. The Sicilian artist will bring his unmistakable warm and deep tone to two exclusive dates in Switzerland: Sunday 8 March 2026 at the Kaufleuten Klubsaal in Zurich and Friday 13 March 2026 at the Kursaal in Bern.
The Zurich date replaces the one originally scheduled for 12 October 2025 at the X-TRA: tickets already purchased remain valid for the new date and the new venue. Tuttoitalia is official media partner of the event and will follow the entire tour closely with exclusive content, background stories and interviews.
With his warm and deep voice, Mario Biondi, born Mario Ranno, has built a solid and international career over the years, inspired also by his father Stefano, to whom he wanted to pay tribute by adopting his stage surname.
The song This Is What You Are, released in January 2004 under the pseudonym Wes a Bee for the Japanese market, was his artistic turning point. Discovered by the British DJ Norman Jay, the track opened the doors of global success to Biondi and in 2006 it was relaunched in a new version with the High Five Quintet.
To celebrate twenty years of this classic, on 12 September 2025 a new version recorded with internationally renowned jazz musicians was released, a prelude to a tour that will see him take the lead on European and world stages. To date Mario Biondi has released twelve albums, played more than 120 concerts in 25 countries and performed live in over fifty nations.
