Brunori Sas in Zurich, an international debut embraced by the Volkshaus audience

Last night’s Brunori Sas concert at the Volkshaus in Zurich was almost sold out, a remarkable result considering it was the first international appearance of the artist’s career. An important step, arriving in the final phase of the Italian and European tour, and one that confirms the songwriter’s ability to speak to an audience beyond the border without distorting his own identity.

The Zurich stop is part of a series of European dates that have taken Brunori Sas to Barcelona, London, Brussels, Paris and Berlin, cities where the response has been significant. After Zurich, the tour will continue with the final Swiss date scheduled for Sunday 21.12.2025 in Lugano, at the Palazzo dei Congressi, as part of the LAC. Here too, tickets have long been sold out.

On the Volkshaus stage, Brunori Sas presents an essential, carefully crafted show in which the visual component remains deliberately understated. The stage, simple and intimate, hosts an eight-piece band and ideally recalls the imagery of his latest album, without resorting to invasive screens or spectacular solutions. The choice is clear: leave room for the songs and the words.

From the very first songs, one of the elements that has always characterised Brunori’s concerts emerges: the ability to alternate between very different emotional registers. The intensity of his writing coexists with a constant irony, often directed at himself, the audience and the mechanics of live performance. The monologues do not interrupt the concert, but become an integral part of it, creating a direct and continuous dialogue with the room.

Brunori plays with the role of the singer-songwriter, with the audience’s expectations and with the dynamics of the music industry, but when the songs arrive, the tone changes. The most incisive tracks strike with the power of their images and with writing that takes no shortcuts, capable of addressing personal and collective themes with clarity and sensitivity. The most energetic part of the concert alternates with more intimate moments, building a balance that keeps attention high throughout the show. The Zurich audience responds with participation and attention, joining in on the best-known passages and following the more reflective ones with respect. You can sense a heterogeneous crowd, made up of both fellow Italians and spectators approaching the world of Brunori Sas for the first time, a sign of a curiosity that goes beyond the event itself.

In the finale, the concert closes with the same narrative coherence that has run through it from the start. No superfluous effects, no search for artificial amazement. Just songs and words, brought to the stage with awareness and restraint. The near sell-out at the Volkshaus is therefore an encouraging signal for this first international chapter. Brunori Sas shows that his path, built over time with coherence and personality, can find an audience even far from Italy. With the Lugano date now imminent and the European tour nearing its end, this step marks a significant milestone in the growth of an artistic project that continues to evolve while remaining true to itself.
