In Italy Stefano Bollani, jazz pianist, classical orchestra conductor, author and show host, is nothing less than a star. Part of the credit goes to the popular television programme “Via Dei Matti n.0”, which he presents together with his wife, the actress and singer Valentina Cerni. Above all, though, he is a fantastic jazz pianist: in his solo concerts and on his current album “Blooming” he impresses with an incredible stylistic range and a stunning virtuosity that never seems strained, thanks to his charm, his humour and his zest for life. His 2019 Jazznojazz concert in a duo with the great Cuban keyboard player Chucho Valdés is still remembered fondly, as are his collaborations with luminaries such as Chick Corea, Pat Metheny and Richard Galliano.
So we are eagerly awaiting his next concert in Zurich on 27 September, exclusively at the Neumünster. And who knows, perhaps Valentina will sing a few songs with him...
