The two artists, unrivalled in their fields, blend their Italian and Cuban roots and, over their many joint concerts of recent years, have built an artistic rapport that results in a stunning pairing. Radio FIP described them as “one of the finest duos in contemporary jazz.” A special encounter is that of Paolo Fresu and Omar Sosa, the duo performing together for the first time in Geneva on Wednesday 21 April 2021. The concert, organised by Musika, was to have taken place in December this year, but the organisers preferred to move the date to ensure the safety of all guests and staff.
