In a warm and family atmosphere, we are immediately welcomed by Gianluca Lombardo, the event's organiser, and by Giancarlo and Valerio, owners of the Ristorante Pizzeria Vivace (Asylstr. 60, 8032 Zurich), where the Swiss “Bachelorette” Chanelle Wyrsch is toasting with Mattia Gabrieli and Giovanni Caputo, all three special guests of the evening. Together with them, the many fans and supporters who came from Zurich and the surrounding area, to dine in good company and spend an evening with the television personalities who accompanied us last year throughout the entire Covid period. After a first, all-Italian aperitif, we go up to the restaurant's upper floor, where two smiling pizza makers await us beside the traditional stone oven, along with two rooms reserved for us. The dinner is strictly Italian, as they stress to us from the kitchen, where the attentive Sardinian chef Diego prepares a rich board of cured meats as a starter, an occasion to start chatting with Mattia and Giovanni, who tell us how their lives changed after the TV experience.

Mattia Gabrieli from Bern loves being free and explains to us with what light-heartedness he experienced the cameras and faced the other contestants. Known for exclamations like “la gazzella del Sud” and for out-of-place jokes, the 25-year-old originally from Lecce is dynamic and happy. In short, someone who knows how to and wants to enjoy life. Fresh from “Temptation Island” in Germany, he is now in contact with some television agents in Italy who would like to bring him to Mediaset. Who knows whether more TV appearances of his will come soon. Giovanni Caputo, on the other hand, who immediately bonded with his peer Mattia, from which a friendship was born right from the show's start (already at the airport, he confided to us), is the son of a construction entrepreneur, very determined at work and focused on making it early. For him the experience ended in the best possible way, reaching a high degree of celebrity, translating into a greater workload for the family business based in Zurich.
The evening continues with spaghetti allo scoglio and grilled lamb. Some prefer the Neapolitan pizza, while others treat themselves only to more of the excellent Rosé Pasetti Testarossa IGP, generously poured by the hosts. We also get to know Chanelle Wyrsch better, a Swiss woman from Zug, whom we discover to be a true lover of Italian cuisine. The “Bachelorette” too lived a unique experience that shaped her and made her grow a great deal. She confides that she would like to pursue a career as a journalist and that she would be happy to continue her path in the world of television. Very well prepared and attentive to detail, Chanelle conveys the image of a very young, successful girl with a rosy future ahead of her. And speaking of roses, at the end of the dinner the three guests Chanelle, Mattia and Giovanni stand up and hand every woman in the room a rose, the unmistakable symbol of the “Bachelorette” show. The evening concludes with the typical desserts of Southern Italy such as the Pasticciotto, the cream-filled aragosta and the Neapolitan babà.
