Laurent de la Gatinais, president of Assovini Sicilia, once described Sicily as “a continent in miniature. Its diversity will be the key to our future”. This variety is particularly evident in the grape varieties, mostly indigenous, that are becoming more and more important: alongside the whites Grillo, Catarratto and Carricante, reds such as Frappato, Nerello Mascalese and Nero d’Avola, but also Chardonnay, Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah, thrive magnificently between the Strait of Messina and Marsala. “Come and discover the most interesting wine region in the world at our seminars (masterclasses) in Zurich”.
