Saturday, September 19th, 2026, the Wohlen track will once again host the Elia Epifanio Trophy, the motorsport event created to remember the young Swiss karting talent who passed away at just 14 years old.
The event is also already listed among the Swiss karting events reported by Auto Sport Switzerland, an important reference point for the Swiss motorsport world.
On the Trophy's official website, information about the 2026 edition and the day's program are also available, featuring the Super Mini, OK Junior, X30 Challenge and Rotax Max Senior categories. The Kartbahn Wohlen is therefore ready to experience a new day of sport, sharing and solidarity in Elia's name.
This year too, making the event even more special will be the important prizes reserved for the winners of the various categories. Among these stands out a truly breathtaking experience: a helicopter flight over the Swiss Alps with Swiss Helicopter, a prize designed to make participation in the Trophy even more unforgettable.
The Elia Epifanio Trophy was born from a story of grief that the family chose to transform into a concrete commitment.
Elia Epifanio, a young Swiss karting promise, passed away on March 31st, 2023, due to sepsis. His parents, Jennifer and Daniele, decided to create an event capable of combining Elia's great passion for racing with raising awareness about a disease that is still too little known.
The first edition of the Trophy took place in 2024, while the second edition was held on May 10th, 2025, two weeks before the Swiss Karting Championship. The event also represented an important preparation opportunity for drivers engaged in the competitive season.
This year too, the calendar presents a particularly interesting situation for participants. A few weeks after the Trophy, at the beginning of October, the final of the Swiss Karting Championship will take place. The Elia Epifanio Trophy will therefore be an important opportunity for many drivers to amplify their competitiveness and sensations ahead of the season's concluding event.
The charitable value of the initiative remains at the heart of the project. All proceeds from the Trophy are donated to sepsis research and prevention, where the KISPI in Zurich tirelessly fights this terrible disease, thus transforming a day dedicated to karting into a concrete gesture of help.
Even those who cannot be present at the track will be able to contribute to supporting the project. On the Trophy's official website, a special button is available to make a donation, offering those who wish to do so the opportunity to contribute to the event and the cause it supports. It is important to specify "Elia Epifanio Trophy" as the reference.
Last year's edition, held at the Kartbahn Wohlen, a particularly significant circuit because Elia was at home there, saw the participation of families, enthusiasts and drivers from abroad as well. The track came alive with the enthusiasm of numerous participants and motorsport lovers, all gathered in Elia's memory.
The Trophy thus demonstrates how passion for sport can go beyond competition and become a moment of sharing, awareness-raising and support for an important cause, keeping Elia's memory alive through something he deeply loved: karting.

Today this commitment continues alongside his brother Romeo, a young driver who has chosen to continue the family's sporting tradition and to take to the track carrying a special meaning. As he himself has said, he races "for two": for himself and for his brother.
