“Assenza” is the new single by Gianna Nannini, the third one taken from the album “La Differenza” after the single of the same name and “Motivo” in collaboration with Coez. Due out on 1 May, the single could be sung live by the Siena-born artist, announced among the protagonists of the Concerto del Primo Maggio 2020. The track is taken from her latest album of new material and is marked by a fitting, driving rhythm. To tell the truth, the whole record is pure energy, sought out precisely in the homeland of blues and rock, Nashville (Texas), where it was recorded. With the title “La Differenza,” Gianna Nannini made things clear. Her intention was to create something different, “that would burn with a pure and ancient fire but played in the digital age,” as she herself declared. 1 May will also be the day of another important event: the Siena-born artist will in fact be among the protagonists of the Concerto del Primo Maggio 2020, conceived this year in a different form because of the coronavirus emergency. The festival will indeed be broadcast live on Rai 3 and simultaneously on Rai Radio2. Nannini is one of the leading names on the bill of the great 1 May concert, which this year will be in a virtual version and will air in prime time with an exclusive performance from the Terrazza Martini in Milan. Besides her, Vasco, Zucchero, Ermal Meta, Alex Britti, Francesco Gabbani, Le Vibrazioni and many others will take part. We also remind you that Gianna Nannini will star, together with Fiorella Mannoia, Laura Pausini, Giorgia, Elisa, Alessandra Amoroso and Emma Marrone, in the concert-event “Una. Nessuna. Centomila – Il concerto”, the major concert event on 19 September in Reggio Emilia, RCF ARENA in Campovolo, where the 7 great artists will share the same stage to say enough to violence against women and to raise funds for anti-violence centres. The proceeds of the concert will be donated entirely to centres and organisations that support and assist women who are victims of violence.
