It is a particularly rich edition, full of different offerings and events, that Time in Jazz is about to experience from 7 to 16 August in Berchidda (SS), the hub and beating heart of the festival conceived and directed by Paolo Fresu, and in the other towns and localities of northern Sardinia where it will make stops with its concerts: Arzachena, Bulzi, San Teodoro, Tempio Pausania and many others.

An edition, number 34, that goes under the title “Stelle” (Stars; “Isteddhos” in Logudorese-Berchiddese Sardinian): a title inspired by Dante Alighieri, on the 700th anniversary of his death, and by his Divine Comedy, in which the word “stelle” recurs at the close of all three cantiche.
In the “constellation” of Time in Jazz, next August as always, a dense series of musical events will shine, following one another from morning to night in different spaces and settings: the large arena set up in the central Piazza del Popolo of Berchidda, the venue for the evening concerts scheduled from the 11th to Ferragosto (15 August), and the most representative sites of the other towns involved. And, alongside the music, a wide range of other initiatives: exhibitions, book presentations and new publications, actions to promote and raise awareness of the environment, the customary film programme as well as the music education workshops and the children’s shows of the Time to Children project.

Of the more than 50 events on the bill (all the details are available at this link https://timeinjazz.org/), here are some of the appointments we would like to point out to you:
• Petra Magoni Duo with her tribute to Fabrizio de André (9 August)
• Mario Venuti Solo (9 August)
• Gianluca Petrella Quintet (13 August), who already played in Geneva in 2019 together with Enrico Rava
• Fabio Concato Trio (14 August)
• Ramberto Ciammarughi and Paolo Fresu (14 August) with their tribute to Dante in the show “Sa Divina Cummedia”
• Paolo Fresu Solo (16 August)
Both the tickets and the pre-sale of season passes are available on Vivaticket for the concerts on the bill from the 11th to the 15th: 100 euros the full price for entry to the five evenings, reduced to 90 for spectators over 65, university students and Time in Jazz members.
As already last year, in compliance with anti-Covid measures, it will be possible to access the concerts only with a digital ticket or pass, downloadable to a smartphone and to be shown at the entrance: a method that guarantees the possibility of maintaining interpersonal distancing
From 19 July, again on Vivaticket, it will be possible to book tickets both for the individual evenings and for the outdoor concerts.
