Originally planned for 2020, the European Football Championship was postponed to 2021 due to the pandemic. It starts on Friday, June 11th, at the Olimpico in Rome with the opening match between Italy and Turkey.

21 game days, exactly one month, from June 11th to July 11th. The games will not be played in a single country, but will be played in eleven different European cities to mark the 60th anniversary of the tournament (which has now turned sixty-one).

From Rome we will move from city to city. Amsterdam, Baku, Bucharest, Budapest, Copenhagen, Glasgow, Munich, St. Petersburg, Seville and finally London are the venues, in the latter the semi-finals and the final will be held at Wembley Stadium.

For Italy it will be the first major tournament after five summers without commitments. The last game was played on July 2, 2016 on penalties against Germany in the quarter-finals of the European Championship in France. "Our national team was born after the disappointment in Russia in 2018 and the young people brought joy to the fans. We hope that the adventure will last as long as possible and that the Italians will get emotions," explains coach Roberto Mancini. "Here is the list of 26th Conveners for the tournament ".
