There are announcements you read twice to make sure you've understood correctly. The one that arrived from Stade de la Tuilière is one of them: on September 5th, Alessandro Del Piero will play in Lausanne. Not in just any match, but in the Charity All Stars, the gala fixture that pits creator NicoCapone's team against French comedian Kev Adams' side, with the evening built around two associations supporting children with cancer.
For Italians in Romandie, and for anyone willing to take a train from Bern or Zurich, it's a chance to see live one of the symbols of Italian football over the past thirty years. For Tuttoitalia readers, there's something more: thanks to our collaboration with FC Lausanne-Sport, we're offering two tickets for the evening.
Last year the organisation brought Cafu to the Tuilière. This year the name closing the cast is Del Piero, another World Cup winner and another Champions League victor, called upon to strengthen NicoCapone's team against Kev Adams' side.
Around the two captains revolves a cast that mixes football, television and social media: Robert Pirès, 1998 World Cup winner with France, fitness creator Tibo InShape, presenter Jean-Luc Reichmann, comedian Paul Mirabel and rapper Soso Maness. A formula that has worked in Lausanne for years and that on September 5th at 8pm will fill the stadium on route de Romanel once again.
Trained in Padua, Del Piero arrived at Juventus in 1993 and from there began one of the longest love stories between a player and a club. In black and white he played 705 matches, scored 290 goals and provided 174 assists. Numbers that still today keep him at the top of both Juventus' all-time rankings, for appearances and goals.
Captain for eleven seasons, he ended his career away from Turin, first with two years at Sydney FC in Australia and then with a few months in India.
With the Azzurri shirt he collected 91 caps and 27 goals, participating in seven major competitions between World Cups and European Championships. The highest point remains the night in Berlin in 2006, when he came on during the match and converted Italy's fourth penalty in the final against France.
His trophy cabinet speaks for itself: one World Cup, one Champions League, one Intercontinental Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, one Intertoto Cup, eight league titles won on the field, one Coppa Italia, four Italian Super Cups and one Serie B championship.
That last trophy says more than all the others put together. When Juventus was relegated to Serie B after Calciopoli, Del Piero decided to stay and accompany the team through the most difficult season in its recent history. It's the choice that definitively transformed him into "Il Capitano" for Juventus fans and, more generally, into a respected figure even beyond Juventus boundaries.
In Lausanne he'll bring that aura and also a piece of his current life as an entrepreneur: his eyewear brand, AirDP Style, will be present on both teams' shirts.

The Charity All Stars takes place on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 8pm at Stade de la Tuilière, route de Romanel 10, 1018 Lausanne. On the VIP front, the 160-seat Club NicoCapone and the 260-seat Lounge All Stars are sold out, while the Club Kev Adams, also with 160 seats, was still available at the time of writing.
The evening supports Zoé4life, a Swiss association committed to fighting childhood cancer, and Princesse Margot, which in France supports children with cancer and their families.
