Nerio Alessandri, CEO of Technogym, who founded the company 40 years ago, opened the event by cutting a ribbon, in the presence not only of Andrea Matteucci, CEO of Technogym’s Swiss distributor, but also of a friend of the brand, the well-known Swiss Olympic athlete and multiple world and European champion Mujinga Kambundji. Mr Alessandri commented: “We are celebrating 40 years of wellness and innovation at Technogym and our new store in Zurich is a milestone on our journey. Together with esteemed colleagues such as our CEO of Technogym Switzerland, Andrea Matteucci, and in the company of Swiss athletes and celebrities, among them the extraordinary Mujinga Kambundji, we proudly present a place where fitness and inspiration come together. Here is to four decades of progress and a prosperous future, in Zurich as well as across the whole world.” Other Swiss athletes such as Dominic Stricker, Noe van Messel and many more completed the evening’s high-profile line-up of guests, united by the wish to promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle. The evening was hosted by the renowned presenter Christa Rigozzi, who perfectly represents the diversity and the essence of Switzerland.
Mujinga Kambundji expressed her commitment to Let's Move for a Better World, Technogym’s worldwide social campaign to fight physical inactivity, above all among the youngest, and thereby create a healthier future for everyone: “As an ambassador of physical activity and health, she added, I am proud to support ‘Let's Move for a Better World’, a global movement that I hope can inspire many people to join us. Together we can create a healthier future.” This year, for the first time in the history of the campaign, anyone will be able to take part simply by recording their own workout through the Technogym app. Mujinga herself will lead the Swiss campaign to achieve the greatest possible number of training sessions, which will translate into a donation from Technogym Switzerland to a club selected by Mujinga and to other beneficiaries chosen by the participating clubs. The campaign runs from 12 to 27 March and it is possible to take part through the Technogym app.
